Warm Weather Forces Early Season NH Hike

Just a fun loop Mt Avalon & Field - (shouldda done the Tom Spur). Thee was still a lot of snow n the rails. We get up to the top of Field and another posse from Gloucester showed up. "Musta left the bridge down!"
The Canada Jay (Perisoreus canadensis)
"These guys expect to be fed" - Local guy at the summit. Canada Jays know that humans are an excellent source of food, even coming to the hand for bread, raisins, & cheese, as Kristin demonstrates:
You have to change up the routine, and this is a good run-up to the Lafayette/Franconia adventure in May.

A Little Quality Peoples reference there. Work's been nuts and the surf's been nil. But there were some amazing days with June weather, jump-starting the green, and Spring isn't compete without loads of bike rides.

fun waves the past couple of days

No complaints at all
It was a fairly stormy Thursday & Friday - but the forecast was typical - the storm would pass, and the wind would go from strong onshore to howling offshore at nightfall, with the waves having been blasted flat by 1st light. Again.
But not this time - as a matter of fact - it looks like there'll be some leftovers Monday morning.
That means no more blogging, time for bed, sunrise is at 6:12 in these parts.
Hope y'all had as much fun as I had.
Over and out - goodnight & good luck.
