The Canada Jay (Perisoreus canadensis)
"These guys expect to be fed" - Local guy at the summit. Canada Jays know that humans are an excellent source of food, even coming to the hand for bread, raisins, & cheese, as Kristin demonstrates:
You have to change up the routine, and this is a good run-up to the Lafayette/Franconia adventure in May.

fun waves the past couple of days
No complaints at all
It was a fairly stormy Thursday & Friday - but the forecast was typical - the storm would pass, and the wind would go from strong onshore to howling offshore at nightfall, with the waves having been blasted flat by 1st light. Again.
But not this time - as a matter of fact - it looks like there'll be some leftovers Monday morning.
That means no more blogging, time for bed, sunrise is at 6:12 in these parts.
Hope y'all had as much fun as I had.
Over and out - goodnight & good luck.
